Abuja Youth Summit – Founder’s Address

Why We Set Out

The Abuja Youth Employability and Entrepreneurship Summit was conceived to address a critical gap in Nigeria’s labour market: access. While the country boasts a growing pool of educated, skilled, and highly motivated young professionals, many lack direct access to employers and opportunities where their talents can be effectively matched with industry needs. At the same time, employers often face challenges identifying and engaging qualified candidates within this vast talent pool.
The Abuja Youth Summit (AYS) provides a structured platform that connects job-ready young professionals with forward-looking employers across diverse sectors. By convening both talent and recruiters in one space, the Summit facilitates meaningful engagement, talent discovery, and recruitment, ensuring employers gain access to competent, future-ready individuals while young professionals gain visibility and clear pathways to sustainable careers.

What Success Means to Us

The initiative will be considered successful when at least 80 percent of participating youths secure meaningful employment opportunities or receive concrete resource commitments to advance their entrepreneurial ideas. This benchmark reflects the Summit’s core objective: transforming skills, exposure, and networking into measurable economic and professional outcomes.

Call for Support and Attendance

We call on young people seeking career advancement and entrepreneurial growth to take advantage of this platform. We also invite government institutions, corporate organizations, and development partners to collaborate with us in expanding access to employment, strengthening the talent pipeline, and driving inclusive economic growth. Through collective effort, we can unlock the full potential of Nigeria’s youth and build a more resilient workforce.
